Regular query for a phrase in PubMed abstracts/titles: cell cycle arrest
Query for multiple phrases or words in PubMed abstracts/titles: mitotic arrest AND cdc
Query for one of two different Gene/Protein IDs (leaving the radio button for PubMed and Mention queries as is): P24941 OR Q63699 (human OR rat Cdk2)
Search for PubMed abstracts/titles on pancreatic cancer, but not the exocrine forms.: pancrea AND carcinoma OR neoplasms OR cancer NOT exocrine
Searching for interactions between proteins: Gene/Protein Mentions search, filtered for articles containing Interaction descriptions: brca2 AND rad51 OR dmc1 OR brca1 OR rad23a (all known interaction partners of Brca2)
Notes: Case is ignored for PubMed and Mention queries, while it is taken into account for IDs. String matches are always made for partial words (cdc will match Cdc25, for example). Phrases are taken as is, but stripped from whitespaces at the ends (" cdc " is equal to "cdc") and next to boolean operators (" mitotic arrest AND cdc ") is equal to "mitotic arrest AND cdc") - but note that extra whitespaces inside phrases will not be removed ("mitotic arrest" stays as is).
